Congratulations to the 427 Lumbee Graduates who received a Lumbee Honor Cord for their graduation ceremonies. Almost 250 of our graduates attended the Honor Cord Ceremony Monday at Robeson Community College. Some were unable to attend the ceremony or live outside the territory. NC House Representative Jarrod Lowery was the guest speaker. Congratulations to the parents, family members and educators who supported out Lumbee graduates along this journey to receiving this degree. The ceremony, which includes high school and college graduates celebrates this important milestone in the life of our Lumbee Students with this special cord which comprises the colors of the Lumbee Tribal Seal and the Medicine Wheel. This symbolism represents the four directions, four seasons, as well as our sacred path in life. Congratulations Class of 2025!
