Join me for a three-location railway outing around Worcester, capturing a variety of locomotive movements across Wylds Lane Junction, Abbotswood Junction, and Norton Junction.
Our first stop is Worcester Wylds Lane Junction, where we wait for a Chiltern Railways Class 68 returning from Long Marston. Unfortunately, the service ran over an hour late, meaning it passed after we had moved on.
We continue to Abbotswood Junction, where the action truly begins. First up is 66130 working 6V05 to Margam, followed by 67023 and 67027 on the local Rail Head Treatment Train. Shortly after, two Class 66s head south toward Swindon to take over on another RHTT circuit, adding to the morning’s flurry of movement.
Finally, at Norton Junction, we catch 47739 trundling past the historic signal box as it returns to Leicester.
