In Christ we have the freedom and grace to be servants of righteousness for holiness. And the Holy Spirit indwells believers and helps us to do what is impossible to do on our own… And that’s hate sin like our Father in heaven (1 John 2:15-16), and become “imitators of God” (Ephesians 5:1).
Becoming a believer does not eradicate the sin nature... Instead, we are given a divine new nature through the indwelled Holy Spirit who now helps us on the journey to sanctification.
My prayer is that believers will know who we are in Christ. Which fruit will you enjoy, the fruit of the Spirit or the fruit of sin?
