AM Solar DIY Tutorial: Airstream Solar Wire Route & Roof Combiner Box

Garret and Kyle demonstrate how to route cable from the roof to the interior of an Airstream RV. DIYers putting solar panels on their roof will need to get the wire through the roof to their other system components. This video also shows the process of the AM Solar Roof Combiner Box installation. (Reminder: We recommend wearing safety goggles when cutting any surfaces. Additionally, Airstream roofs are delicate. Please be cautious when doing roof work - consider using a ladder instead of being on the roof.)

This system has a 600W roof array of Zamp Solar Obsidian panels (not shown), 600Ah of LifeBlue lithium batteries, a Victron Cerbo, Victron Touch 50 Monitor, Victron Multiplus 3000 Inverter/Charger, Victron 50A MPPT, and a Victron Smart. We're also using an EasyStart, Watchdog, and an alternator charging kit. This system also has AM Solar panel mounts and an AM Solar roof combiner box.
