Doncaster City Centre | 4K Walk

We start our walk in Doncaster city centre at Frenchgate, heading up Baxtergate towards Doncaster Markets. Then, we walk down Silver Street and continue along Printing Office Street to Frenchgate Shopping Centre. Going up St Sepulchre Gate, then down High Street and finishing in Lazarus Court.

After 828 years as a town, Doncaster was announced to have succeeded in its bid to gain city status on 20 May 2022 as part of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II.
The city centre features the Frenchgate Shopping Centre, a large transport interchange, and Doncaster Market, one of the oldest in the country. Key landmarks include Doncaster Minster and the Mansion House. Recent regeneration projects have improved retail, leisure, and public spaces, making it a major commercial and transport hub in South Yorkshire.
