Welcome to Dushanbe, the stunning and super-underrated capital of Tajikistan in Central Asia.

I had long wanted to visit this off the beaten path country, and in September 2023 it finally happened - after traveling overland through Afghanistan, we crossed the Shir Khan Bandar border and found ourselves in an entire new world, a modern, clean, and mountainous metropolis many people have never even heard of.

Come along to see us travel through Tajikistan, which is undoubtedly the most surprising country I've ever been to in my life. We'll visit a traditional tea house, check out some European-looking parks, visit and shop at the largest market in the city, and overall enjoy this extremely overlooked and incredible Tajik capital!
