5 Gel Plate Transfer Techniques That Add Amazing Texture

In today’s video, I’m sharing five of my favourite gel plate transfer techniques that add amazing texture to your artwork. I start by painting directly on the plate to create bold, painterly effects, then move into using masks to shape striking silhouettes. From there, I bring in stamps and even water to build unexpected textures, and then take things further by layering on gold leaf sheets for a luminous, metallic shine. Finally, I combine everything into one richly layered print so you can see how these ideas work together.
Whether you’re just starting out with gel printing or looking for new ways to push your creativity, these techniques will give you so many possibilities to explore in your own art. I can’t wait to see what you create!
