Some of the craft that participated this year. Texas 200 - Port Isabel to Magnolia Beach. Some did it in 5 days, some 6. Some didn't make it...all the way. Lots of alternative campsites due to wind conditions. As you can see they are a varied lot. Production, homemade and experimental. Obviously deep keel and shallow draft have their unique characteristics and enjoy slightly different experiences. Hugely different actually.
But they come, and love it, and many come again and again!
This year 45 boats and crews started, 23 finished. Drop out rate is related to wind, waves, injuries and breakages of man and boat. This year took its toll. First two days winds were strong. That's the fun of it! Bring yours, whatever you got.
