This is a LONG video, so be warned. Usually, I shorten, edit, or speed up the work I video, but this time I left it full-length.
Why? Well, I'm frequently asked, "how long did such-and-such take you to do?" And when I give the answer, the person who asked is usually incredulous that it took so long.
But pyrography can NOT be rushed. It's a slow artform. And I'm fortunate to have a professional pen, which heats up quickly and retains heat very well. Using a craft store pen, you can still achieve the same results, but it's going to take you even longer to finish a piece! The craft store pens simply don't get as hot, or stay as hot, as consistently, as the professional pens do.
Do. Not. Rush. Your. Work. That's the point of this video.
