The plaintiff and the defendant are former roommates. The plaintiff says everything was fine until the defendant’s boyfriend moved in, and the plaintiff wanted to split all the bills by three. One day, the defendant reportedly locked the plaintiff out without much notice, and she shoved some of his personal belongings in the hallway. The plaintiff is suing for stolen and damaged property. The defendant says she agreed to split the bills three ways, and she’s countersuing for unpaid rent and utilities.
