So much history in Baiona (or Bayona) Galicia, Spain.
The Fort - Monterreal - has roots back to a Celtic Fort built in perhaps 600BC. The current fortress dates back to the 11th century.
This ancient port is perhaps most important for reviving ‘la Pinta’ - one of the ships that sailed with Columbus on that fateful contact with the peoples of the Americas (Turtle Island).
