Reverse Grip with a Katana-Historic Uses [sword talk/katana tameshigiri]

I talk about the uses of a reverse grip, also known as the zatoichi style or the icepick grip and its use with the katana.The reverse grip often gets pawned off as fiction because HEMA and kendo focus strongly on duelling, where the reverse grip has little place, but I believe there are overlooked situations where it might have been used.

-Pool noodles-these require good edge alignment or they will not cut, very little power required. Also pool noodles that have been bent or manhandled have their fibres break and become incredibly difficult to cut as they have a tendency to bend instead
