Do I Really Need Another Winch? You Tell Me!

I'm back in the woods today with the Wallenstein LXT95 where I'm giving the newly-installed L1400 winch a few more opportunities to show me what it can. The logs here today are likely frozen into this big pile after sitting for the last several weeks so the pull won't exactly be easy. This winch which is a factory accessory from Wallenstein is rated for 1400 pounds of pulling force and comes with 80 feet of synthetic rope. The winch is connected to the log loader trailer hydraulic system and is controlled with a lever beside the grapple controls on the trailer. I'm thinking the additional reach this log loader trailer will have with this winch will be something I can sure put to use but before we get too far ahead of ourselves, let's try it out.
