Partridgeberry Picking, Jam Making, and Tart Baking!

In this fun video, Cheryl and I head into the woods to pick partridgeberries – well, Cheryl did most of the picking! While she was gathering berries at a rapid pace, I got a bit creative with my 'picking' technique, spending more time sitting, lying down, lol . We had some good laughs along the way!
There was an abundance of berries.

A couple of weeks later, we took those berries back to our kitchen, where Cheryl, Tony, and I made some traditional Newfoundland partridgeberry jam. We jarred the jam in mason jars and whipped up some tasty tarts to share. It’s a fun mix of berry-picking adventures, Newfoundland traditions, and delicious homemade treats!
