How to Perform and Interpret Kruskal-Wallis H Test in SPSS

In this video, I gave a detailed demonstration and guide on performing a Kruskal-Wallis H Test in SPSS, as an alternative to one-way ANOVA. The video begins by explaining the purpose of the Kruskal-Wallis H Test, which is to determine if there are statistically significant differences between the distributions of three or more independent groups on a continuous or ordinal variable. In the demonstrations, I walk through the steps of performing the test in SPSS, highlighting the conditions that make the Kruskal-Wallis H Test suitable, such as:

Non-normal data,
Ordinal data,
Heterogeneous variance,
Outliers, and
Unequal group sizes.

I explained the null and alternative hypotheses and demonstrated how to verify that the assumptions of normality and homogeneity of variances are violated using SPSS. Finally, I explained in the video how to interpret the results of the Kruskal-Wallis H Test, including how to conduct pairwise comparisons to identify where the significant differences lie. I also demonstrated the two different pathways for performing the Kruskal-Wallis H Test in SPSS, which includes:

Independent Samples Option, and
Legacy Dialogs Option

And I showed that both options will produce the same results.
