"Live Vehicle Burns - Hands on Vehicle Fire Investigations with an Expert"

This specialized week-long course is designed for fire, law enforcement, and insurance investigators and follows the guidelines outlined in NFPA 921, as well as NFPA 1033. Students will participate in live vehicle burns to analyze fire times, patterns, and temperatures using the scientific method and a systematic approach and analysis.

The highlights of this course include a demonstration of incendiary, electrical, fluid, mechanical, and friction caused fires. Students will also obtain knowledge about vehicle fraud investigations, vehicle mechanical inspections after a vehicle fire, speed control deactivation switches, the relation between tire failure and fires, hazards created by safety devices, forensic locksmith examination, bearing failure, and fluid analysis.
