Raleigh Residential Structure Fire 5-24-25

Shortly after 7pm on May 24th the Raleigh Fire Department was dispatched to a Structure Fire at the intersection of Method Road and Wilder Street. While enroute units noticed a heavy column of smoke and dispatch was receiving multiple calls. Engine 8 arrived at heavy fire showing from a 1 story residential with extension to a nearby church and numerous sheds/outbuildings. Engine 8 began fire attack, as well as opening up their deck gun. Squad 14 established a water supply and assisted with fire attack. Ladder 14 and Rescue 16 conducted primary and secondary searches, both of which were clear. Engine 20 rescued numerous kittens (14!). The fire was placed under control in roughly 30 minutes. 1 victim was transported for smoke inhalation, the fire is still under investigation.
