Carter (John Lithgow) senses an opportunity to aid his fathers experiments on children when he gets into the front seat of Karen's (Teri Austin) car, but his plan is almost thwarted after he knocks her out with chloroform and Cain assumes control to clean up the mess.
From Brian De Palma's Raising Cain (1992): The wife of a child psychologist is concerned with her husband studying their daughter as a subject. Soon, children in their neighbourhood start disappearing.
