착상에 실패하는 진짜 이유

착상은 수정란(배아)이 자궁 안에 '자리 잡는 과정입니다. 수정란이 자궁 내막에 달라붙어 '임신이 시작되는 순간' 즉, 정자와 난자가 만나 수정이 된 뒤, 그 수정란이 자궁까지 이동해서 자궁 안에 자리를 잡고 뿌리를 내리는 것이에요. 수정란이 자궁내막에 착상이 되어야 비로소 임신을 향한 첫출발을 하게 됩니다.

착상은 쉽지 않습니다. 수정란이 내막에 착상에 성공하는 과정은 오케스트라 연주와 같습니다. 퍼즐과도 같아요. 단 한가지라도 미흡하면 착상에 실패하거나, 착상이 되어도 유산이 됩니다.

Why Human Embryos Fail to Implant in Endometrium

Implantation is the process by which a fertilized egg (embryo) settles into the uterus.
It is the very moment when the embryo attaches itself to the uterine lining—marking the true beginning of pregnancy.
In other words, after the sperm and egg meet and fertilization occurs, the fertilized egg travels to the uterus and attempts to embed itself into the uterine lining.

Only when implantation successfully takes place does the journey toward pregnancy truly begin.

But implantation is not easy.
The process of an embryo successfully attaching to the uterine lining is like a symphony orchestra playing in perfect harmony—or like fitting together the pieces of a complex puzzle.
If even one part is missing or off, implantation may fail, or even if implantation occurs, miscarriage can follow.
