Tom Hilborn Celebration - Palasad social bowl September 21 2025

Tom Hilborn Celebration: Music+Art+Turtles will be an afternoon of music played by performers who knew Tom during his five decades in London’s music and art scene.
Celebrating one of London's most beloved and prolific artists, Tom Hilborn (1956-2024).

Tom Hilborn loved turtles. He cared for some as a kid, had many turtle encounters in Gibbons Park over the years, and had countless dreams about turtles. It's safe to say the turtle was a spirit animal for our dear friend.
Tom would have loved the cause we are supporting through the Tom Hilborn Celebration this Sunday (Sept. 21). The Ontario Turtle Conservation Centre will get all proceeds from the event. The centre rescues and rehabilitates injured turtles and returns them to their natural habitat.

For a voluntary donation of just $20 or $50, attendees can get an original Hilborn painting (while supplies last). There will also be about a dozen large masterworks available for bidding in a silent auction.
And attendees will get to hear live music all afternoon, from four of London's best established bands (Mongrels, Myrtle Earle, Escapiam and Boy From Nowhere) as well as the debut performances of the Red Quasars (featuring Vince Braca) and the Thelonious Fallopian Tubas From Paris France (featuring Peter Tangredi). All this for just ten bucks!
It's going to be an incredible day. And the turtles will thank you.
