We left from specimen creek trail head, traveled about 8 miles up to crescent lake. From here we gained elevation to about 10000 feet to the summit of shooting star mountain on our way to high lake. After landing 2 legendary Yellowstone cutthroat trout we leave day 3 down sportsman lake trail. Almost at the end of the hike we encounter a bull mouse laying in the creek 50 yards below us...
