Construcția acestui important edificiu s-a desfășurat în 2 faze. Prima fază cuprinde perioada 1316-1390 și a doua faza perioada 1410-1487.
Conform unui înscris emis de Curtea Papală de la Avignon din ianuarie 1349, aceia care contribuiau financiar la construirea catedralei erau iertați de păcate.

According to a document issued by the Papal Court in Avignon in January 1349, those who contributed financially to the construction of the cathedral were forgiven of their sins.

Selon un document émis par la Cour papale d'Avignon en janvier 1349, ceux qui avaient contribué financièrement à la construction de la cathédrale furent absous de leurs péchés.

Der Bau dieses bemerkenswerten Bauwerks erfolgte in zwei Phasen: von 1316 bis 1390 und von 1410 bis 1487.

Laut einer Urkunde des päpstlichen Hofes in Avignon vom Januar 1349 wurden diejenigen, die finanziell zum Bau der Kathedrale beigetragen hatten, von ihren Sünden freigesprochen.

Az avignoni pápai udvar által 1349 januárjában kiadott dokumentum szerint azok, akik anyagilag hozzájárultak a székesegyház építéséhez, megbocsátást nyertek bűneikre.
