Strapless Kitesurfing

Strapless Kitesurfing Noosa Heads, Queensland, Australia. Dec 2023

Windy season on the Sunshine Coast is generally spring and summer, although we kitesurf and paraglide year round, this is the best time of year for kite sports. Sept to Dec we are blasted with Northerlies and when the wind gets +20 knots and more N than NE, we pack our paragliders away and get our kites out. It's also great to switch it up and do something different to keep the flying fresh.
The Sunshine Coast has some incredible setups for kitesurfing and kiteboarding, in the surf and flat water. Noosa river mouth is one of these magic spots for both flat water and surf. I don't get into the flatwater much, but I enjoy going for a rip every now and then.
