A depiction of the Siege of Carthage by Roman legions in 149-146 BC. This military miniatures diorama used hundreds of figures from my collection (those who are students of ancient warfare will probably notice that the Carthaginians are actually depicted by Greeks and Spartans - I took some artistic license there so you'll have to forgive me). I think it's one of the best military miniature dioramas I've made so far. Enjoy...:-)
I wanted to take the standard practice of displaying photos of military miniatures and "up the game" by telling the story of the battle display as the viewer is led through the diorama visually and audibly. Really captures the viewer's imagination!
I'm a long time collector and creator of military miniatures and an avid student of military history gleaned from my time as a cadet at West Point and many years of service as an Army Officer. I'm also a veteran of the Afghanistan War and published a book about my wartime experience in Afghanistan which you can check out at Http://Rooster-Jones.com/
