This is just a quick video I made at 2am to show some of the parts of the Betamax mechanism as well as some cleaning techniques. This covers the SL-5000 front loading series machines but many of the tips can be applied to the later Betamax models.
Clean at your own risk! I’m not responsible if you mess up your machine. I’ve been fixing these as a hobby for many years and this is simply my way of doing it.
