I recently got my hands on Maison Alhambra’s Eternal Touch, a fragrance I picked up for just $24.99 on Jomashop, and I’m thrilled with it. This is essentially a rebranded version of their Tobacco Touch, likely repackaged due to legal issues with Tom Ford since it’s designed as a clone of Tobacco Vanille. I haven’t smelled the Tom Ford original, so I can’t compare them, but for a 75ml bottle at this price, it’s a steal. The bottle is simple yet classy, not too flashy, and the atomizer is decent enough for a fragrance under $25. It’s marketed as a mature, masculine cologne, perfect for guys over 30, and I’d say it’s spot-on for cold fall or winter days—definitely not a spring or summer scent, as it’s too heavy for warmer weather.
Right off the bat, the opening of Eternal Touch hits you with a bold blast of tobacco leaf and warm, festive spices that remind me of a spiced Christmas ham—minus the ham, of course! My wife pointed out that cloves are a standout in the mix, giving it a holiday vibe, almost like a boozy Fireball whiskey with a tobacco twist. It’s sweet, aromatic, and feels like sipping a spiced cinnamon tea by a winter fire. The spices are prominent, so if cloves aren’t your thing, you might not love the initial spray. But for me, it’s a fantastic, cozy start that screams winter, and the projection is massive—two sprays, and you’ll fill a room, so go easy!
As the fragrance settles into the dry down a few hours later, it transforms into something even more delightful. The cocoa, vanilla, and tonka bean take center stage, creating a rich, chocolatey sweetness that’s just heavenly. There’s a touch of dried fruits and woody notes in the base, adding depth without overpowering the sweetness. My wife could still smell it on me hours after application, which is impressive for such an affordable scent. The longevity is stellar, lasting well into the day, and it maintains that strong sillage, making it a perfect choice for winter outings or even a date night in colder months.
Overall, Eternal Touch is a banger of a fragrance that’s earned a spot in my winter lineup. It’s a fantastic daily wear for cold weather, and I love it so much I’d almost use it as a room spray if it weren’t getting close to summer! For under $30, you’re getting a high-performing, mature cologne that feels way more expensive than it is. I suspect it’s identical to Tobacco Touch, just with new branding, so you might find the older version even cheaper. If you’re into warm, spicy, tobacco-heavy scents and don’t mind a prominent clove note, this is a must-try. I’m really happy with how this turned out and can’t recommend it enough for wintertime vibes.
