Chicken yakhni Pulao Best and Easy
Recipe:
For the Yakhni (broth):
In a pot, add water.
Add whole spices (as shown in the video).
Make a spice pouch (potli) using whole fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and garlic, and put it in the pot.
Add salt to taste.
Bring the yakhni to a boil. Once it starts boiling, add the chicken and cook until it becomes tender.
Once the chicken is tender, turn off the heat. Remove and discard the spice pouch.
Separate the chicken and the yakhni (broth).
For the Pulao:
In a separate pot, heat oil.
Add whole spices (as shown in the video).
Then add green chilies, dry red chilies, and ginger-garlic paste. Sauté well until aromatic.
Add the cooked chicken to the pot.
Add 1 chopped tomato and half a lemon cut into pieces.
Cook the chicken until the oil separates.
Now add the prepared yakhni (broth) to the pot and cover it.
When the broth starts boiling, add soaked basmati rice.
Cover and cook the rice until fully done.
Sprinkle red food color on top.
For garnishing:
Add golden fried onions on top.
Serve hot and enjoy!
