HOW TO: Ford Mustang Oil Change on 3.7L V6 (2011, 2012, 2013 & 2014)

It's rewarding to do work on your own Mustang and Oil Changes are one of the easiest things you can do. I hope my comprehensive DIY instructions can give you the confidence needed to do your own oil change.

I suggest watching this video at least once before you start start changing your oil.

Parts required:

(6) quarts - 5W-20 Synthetic Oil (Ford recommends their Motorcraft synthetic blend, but Royal Purple fully synthetic works even better)
(1) - Ford Motorcraft Oil Filter (Part #FL-500S)

Tools needed:

Ramps or Jack/Jackstands & Chock Block
1/4" & 3/8" ratchet
8mm & 15mm socket
Torque wrench (19 ft lbs)
SCOTT Shop Towels
Oil drain pan w/ 6qt minimum capacity
Oil Filter Wrench
Funnel
Safety Glasses
Latex/Nitrile Gloves
