Each year, hundreds of people of all ages turn out to dance polkas, schottisches, waltzes and two steps during the Nordic Fest Street Dance in Decorah, Iowa. The music is provided by the local band, Beth Rotto and the Foot-Notes who play the tunes passed along by the Scandinavian immigrants to the area. These tunes, along with the dances, have strong American influences, creating a unique Scandinavian American dance and music style. The tunes featured in this video are the Flop Eared Mule Schottische, Two Step After Arnold Hansen, Alfred Blagen's Hoppwaltz (polka) and the Boda Waltz.
