How to Paint HO Scale Drum Racks (Using My 3D-Printed Drum Rack Kit)

In this video, I show how I prep and paint HO scale drum racks, using the same 3D-printed drum rack models I sell in my shop.

These racks are printed thin to stay in scale, so they’re fragile—this is the simple, careful process I use to get clean results without breaking anything or filling in the details.

What I cover:

Trimming the small support marks on the bottom (flush nips / nail clippers work great)
Why I use primer (helps paint key to the model)
How to apply primer lightly so you don’t fill the little holes
Hand painting with a brush (airbrush optional)
A first color coat in flat blue, plus why a second coat can help even everything out

My recommendation: pairing these racks with bunghole drums for a more realistic look
