In her latest vlog, NHS Highland Chair Sarah Compton-Bishop shares an update from the Board meeting on the 30 September, covering everything from continuing financial pressures to the inspiring resilience of frontline teams.
A standout from the meeting was the discussion around the refreshed tobacco strategy, which broadened out to include vaping and the stark impact of health inequalities across our communities which impact health outcomes and life expectancy.
Sarah also highlights joint work with local authorities on child poverty action plans, and stresses the importance of winter readiness — encouraging everyone to stay on top of vaccinations, prescriptions, and to look out for one another.
