Happy International Mother Language Day - Awareness Art

About the day and some awareness:

International Mother Language Day is celebrated every year on February 21 across the world to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity as well as multilingualism.
It was first introduced by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1999. Every year, there is a new theme and this year, it is “Multilingual education – a necessity to transform education." According to the UNESCO website, the day was established on the initiative of Bangladesh.

Marking the importance of this day, the United Nations mentions on its website, "Globally 40 per cent of the population does not have access to an education in a language they speak or understand. But progress is being made in multilingual education with a growing understanding of its importance, particularly in early schooling, and more commitment to its development in public life. International Mother Language Day recognizes that languages and multilingualism can advance inclusion, and the Sustainable Development Goals’ focus on leaving no one behind."
