No Sparks ??!?!? Vespa PX PK :
Check First the CDI and the Stator Plate.
This Video is a How to uide for Testing the CDI and as well a Short Intro about the Function of the CDI.
How It Works:
Energy Generation: When the engine turns, the stator (alternator) generates alternating current (AC), which is stored in the CDI unit.
Charging the Capacitor: The generated AC power charges an internal capacitor inside the CDI unit.
Ignition Pulse: A signal from the pick-up sensor determines the exact moment when the capacitor releases its stored energy to the ignition coil.
Spark Generation: This sudden discharge creates a high-voltage pulse, which is sent to the spark plug, igniting the fuel-air mixture.
This precise timing ensures efficient combustion and optimal engine performance.
Connections of the CDI Unit:
The electronic unit has four connections:
White (BIANCO): Ground connection.
Red (ROSSO): Connection to the pick-up sensor.
Green (VERDE): Power input from the stator (alternator).
Green (VERDE): Kill switch for engine shutdown.
