All alloys shrink, some like frightened turtles. Feeders are used to control unacceptable levels of shrinkage in our molds. There are four pours in the video with various feeder placements to illustrate the effects of good placement and bad placement.

I get asked about the moisture content of my sand. I have settled on a ratio of about 2 liters of sand and 36-42ish ml of water for my ratio. I start with sand that is dry.
