Launch[Pad] into life as a Bulldog: A Bulldog Bound freshman success camp

Relive the energy and excitement of the first-ever Fresno State LaunchPad: Bulldog Bound Freshman Success Camp! Watch as 200 incoming college students from Fresno Unified School District kickstart their university journey with confidence during this five-day immersive experience. This is more than an orientation; it's a launchpad to success designed to give our newest Bulldogs the tools they need to thrive in college.

These are just some of the opportunities students were able to take advantage of throughout the week.

• Building Community: Participating in team-building at the EDGE Ropes Course and making connections that will last throughout their college careers and beyond. As you'll hear, LaunchPad is the "first community of many communities here at Fresno State".

• Planning for Success: Meeting one-on-one with academic and financial aid counselors to create personalized success plans.

• Earning While Learning: Enrolling in a one-unit college course on study strategies and time management, and receiving a scholarship for completing the program.

• Finding a Mentor: Connecting with an assigned peer mentor who will provide support and regular check-ins throughout their entire first year on campus.

Inspired by the principles of purpose, courage, and community, students were reminded that they don't just fit in at Fresno State—they belong.
