I Really Wanted To Make A Retro Step Stool But I Started To Regret It...The Mechanism Took Me Ages To Get Right. I Also Changed The Back Rest As It Was Too High. I Show How I First Made The Steps To Fold But It Took Me A Long Time To Get It Right. I Did Figured Out An Easier Way Which I Do Show In The Video. The Important Thing Is To Get The Wire Lengths Right So That The First Step Doesn't Touch The Seat When Folded Back. The Wire Can Be Very Fragile So Take Care When Drilling Into It.
The Chair In The Video Is Larger Than 1:12th Scale (More Like 1:6th) As It Was Easier To Make And The Mechanism Worked. I Made A 1:12th Scale Stool Without Moving Steps. It Could Work If You Were Able To Drill Holes In The Wire Without Breaking. I Hope This Gives You Ideas And That You Enjoy The Video.
