How To Change Your Transmission Fluid on a BMW E9X - Easy 5 Minute DIY! [2023]

I can only recommend the stock fluid because although the forums all said to use the Redline fluid, it was not the correct one and the shifts were extremely chunky so I took it out and use the stock MTF LT3 Fluid: https://geni.us/5NyG8RG

Welcome to the BMW Maintenance Series where you are going to learn how to maintain your BMW yourself and save a bunch of money in the process. Today I show you how easy it is to change the transmission fluid on your BMW E90 325i but this will be a very similar process on my 3 series cars. BMW calls this fluid 'lifetime' use but I don't agree. You should replace your transmission fluid every 10 years or 100,000kms. Be careful to use the correct fluid for your transmission otherwise you can blow it up!
