I was consulting soundtracks of mine for accompaniment for AMVs, and buried under many of my more listened CDs was the soundtrack for a movie I haven't seen in ages: The Pagemaster. For a movie that had a kid trapped in a library, it really was a rather creative idea, and starred very talented people...and of course it had James Horner composing, who also is the same composer who did music for Once Upon a Forest, Casper and Titanic. This song I listened to and immediately thought of two things: one, Disney, and two, Princess Tutu. I went with the second, because the lyrics reminded me of two of my very favorite characters and by far my favorite couple in the series, Fakir and Ahiru. Although not necessarily romantic, the perspectives in this song was about "whatever you imagine" coming true, and that worked really in both their cases...Ahiru as the light of hope bringing happiness to all, and Fakir as the storyspinner who took up rewriting fate. Fakir and Ahiru are by far the most proactive characters in changing Drosselmeyer's story from a tragedy to a happy story, for as Edel said, "courage is a gem made of two", and they couldn't have changed the end without working together. So this video is a tribute to their teamwork and their dream of a happy end coming true. WMM was a bitch while making this and I actually am not very happy with how this turned out...but I hope you enjoy all the same!
