The Indian Air Force is officially retiring its MiG-21 fighter jets after more than six decades of service, with the last two squadrons set for a formal farewell ceremony at Chandigarh on September 26, 2025.
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh marked the imminent retirement of the MiG-21 by taking solo sorties of the iconic jet from Nal Airbase in Rajasthan ahead of the formal farewell ceremony.
