The Biggest Barge Point Hope Maritime Has Ever Moved!

Filmed at Point Hope Maritime Shipyard in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, this video documents the movement of the Mercury barge, the largest barge Point Hope Maritime has moved to date. The video follows the early morning pull along the spur line using two loaders, as Mercury is carefully guided onto the cradle, floated off, pulled forward on the cart, and repositioned before the cradle rises back to level ground. Portions of the operation are shown in real time, with some sections sped up to reflect the slow, methodical pace required for work of this scale, highlighting the precision and coordination needed to safely move a barge of this size within the shipyard.
