ENDANGERED FOLK ARTS OF INDIA, EXHIBITION, AND SALE: KAMALNAYAN BAJAJ HALL, MUMBAI, INDIA. 28TH FEB – 5TH MAR, 2022 
International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG) Australia is a self-funded non-government organization, with fully registered and licensed operations also in India.  
 
India is a host to over 50 traditional indigenous folk arts. These beautiful folk arts have been passed on from generation to generation for over 1000 years. However, except for a handful, the rest of them are on the verge of extinction.  
  
International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG), is trying to help revive ‘Indian Folk Art’ and support traditional artists to make a dignified living. Our vision is to pass Indian Folk +Art to the next generation. 
With the vision of passing traditional Indian Folk Art to the next generation, International Indian Folk Art Gallery (IIFAG Australia),  held an exhibition at Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall & Art Gallery, Mumbai , Nariman Point, Mumbai.
On 28 February, 11am the exhibition was inaugurated by Chief guest Mr. Rajiv Mishra, Director, Directorate of Art, Maharashtra.
The honorable guest panel for the event included 
Chitrakar Sadashiv Kulkarni, Mr. Kumar Khaire, Mr, Chandrashekhar Pusalkar, Mr. Sudhir Pandey, Mr. Rajesh Puri, Ms. Seema Bakliwal, Mr. Akhil Mishra, Ms. Suzanne Bernert, Mr. Sanjay Sardana, Mr. Ravi Sinha, Ms. Sanober Pardiwala, Ms. Rekha Sunil.
Mr. Senthil Vel, Founder, and CEO of International Indian Folk Art Gallery, Australia the host of the event welcomed the guests and the artists. The guests were later honored with a shawl and a bouquet. Mrs. Anjali Arora, CEO, Video Shots Entertainment, media partner, and organizer professionally anchored the event and entertained the guests.
Mr. Rajiv Mishra, Director, Directorate of Art, Government of Maharashtra addressed the audience and stressed the need to protect traditional Indian Folk Artists and our rich culture of Indian Folk Art. The event was covered by various media groups, including Doordarshan.
Later, the visitors then had a tour of the exhibition, appreciated and recognized the artists who had traveled from different parts of India.
At the end of the event, the guests have presented a gift as a vote of thanks by IIFAG.
In this exhibition, International Indian Folk Art Gallery has curated over 100 selective artifacts from all over the Indian sub-continent. 40 of these artworks will be from the winners of the Lok Kala Ratna Award 2021. This includes children aged from 6 to 18, along with amateur and professional artists (Group A, B, C, and D)
In addition, you will see over 60 unique artifacts, which include a large collection of Tanjore paintings, along with Pichwai, Pattachitra, Kerala Mural, Saura, Madhubani, Gond, Mysore, Cheriyal, Kalighat, Patua, Mata Ne Pachedi, Palm Leaf Engraving and Kalamkari Paintings.
Since the opening ceremony, many visitors have come and taken home these beautiful unseen folk arts of India.
We have also invited traditional Indian folk artists to run workshops during the event. These workshops will be on Pichwai and Pattachitra paintings. An excellent opportunity for art lovers to watch, meet, and talk with these traditional artists, who have come all the way from Odisha and Rajasthan.
Also, many students from Dr. BMN College of home science, Matunga (Textile branch) and Sofia Polytechnic, Breach Candy attended the two live workshops.
