These are the final minutes to “Cement the Relationship”, the eighth season finale for the 1979-93 CBS drama “Knots Landing”, a spin-off of the popular 1978-91 drama “Dallas”. This was the 30th and final episode of the eighth season (190th overall). This episode originally aired Thursday, May 14, 1987.
Peter Hollister (Hunt Block) was found murdered with a spindle on his back by Olivia Cunningham (Tonya Crowe). Her mother Abby Ewing (Donna Mills), convinced that Olivia killed Peter, buries his body at Lotus Point where a children's playground is about to be built in order to protect her daughter. Unaware of Peter’s death and disappearance of his body, Karen Mackenzie (Michele Lee) and Greg Sumner (William Devane) have trouble finding Peter who was excepted to attend and give a speech at the opening of the Children’s Park at Lotus Point since he was an elected official. The following day, the cement foundation gets poured over Peter's body, but Abby's relief turns to horror when Karen Mackenzie (Michele Lee) later points out a large crack in the cement which may mean it has to be dug up.
