X-Raypad Jade Air Dot & Donut Skates | The mel0n Review

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another episode of the mel0n review! Today we're checking out another new set of skates from X-RayPad, the Jade Air Dots & Donuts! These skates, much like the previous "air" skates we've seen from X-RayPad, are the same physical skate as the original jades, but with the added layer of Soft Microporous Polyurethane Foam (SMPF for short) between the skate and the base adhesive. Now this SMPF foam acts as a buffering layer that helps to make the skates quieter when they're used on hard pads. But the Jade skates, since they're made of 100% PTFE are already quite on hard-pads. So this "air" upgrade seems pointless. But as it turns out this "air" upgrade here on the Jade Air skates isn't to make the skates quieter, it's to improve the Jade Air's reusability, something that the original Jade air skates definitely suffered from.
