This is the highlight of my short visit to Nagaland at the far end of North-East India.
On the single road from the capital city of Kohima to Phek is a small town perched at the highest point in the state: Pfutsero. Happily converted from their cannibal tribe ancestry by nineteenth century Baptist missionaries, 98% of the population is Christian, with but 1 or 2% of Hindus.
I was thrilled to attend an unexpected and magnificient rendition of Hendel's Messiah in such a remote location, performed by a choir of students from the Baptist Theological College on the occasion of its 25th Anniversary.
You've got to see these sincere and tallented young men and women singing their hearts out to Halleluyah.
