Diwali – the festival of lights – is finally here, and what better way to celebrate than with something sweet and homemade? 💛
In today’s video, I’m making traditional Besan Laddoos – soft, rich, and full of flavour. These laddoos melt in your mouth and are perfect for sharing with family and friends this festive season.

🍯 Ingredients:
2 cups besan (gram flour)
1 cup powdered sugar
¾ cup ghee (clarified butter)
2 tbsp chopped nuts (almonds, cashews, or pistachios)
½ tsp cardamom powder
A few saffron strands (optional)
🪔 Method:
1. Heat a heavy-bottom pan and add ghee.
2. Once the ghee melts, add the besan and roast on low flame. Keep stirring continuously.
3. Roast until the besan turns golden brown and gives a rich, nutty aroma (around 15–20 minutes).
4. Add the chopped nuts and cardamom powder. Mix well.
5. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
6. When it’s warm but not hot, add powdered sugar and mix thoroughly.
7. Take small portions and shape them into round laddus.
8. Garnish with chopped pistachios or saffron strands if you like.
Let them set and store in an airtight container.
