Join me for a quiet early morning walk through Jerome, Arizona — a hillside town with one of the most fascinating stories in the Verde Valley. Once a booming copper mining community, Jerome nearly faded away after the mines closed, but it reinvented itself as an artists’ haven and historic destination.
In this video, I start from the Jerome Grand Hotel and make a loop around town before most of the shops and restaurants open for the day. Along the way, I share a bit of history about Jerome’s mining past, its rebirth as a thriving community, and what makes it such a unique place to explore today.
This is Part 4 of my Verde Valley series, following Clarkdale, Cottonwood, and the Jerome Grand Hotel. Whether you’re planning a trip, curious about Arizona history, or just enjoy a calm walking tour with great views, this video gives you a feel for the early morning charm of Jerome.
