Person found dead after Police Respond to shots fired call in Oxnard

09-06-25 | OXNARD | 11:32PM | Multiple Oxnard Police Officers responded to reports of shots fired inside of a home along the 1400 block of Vaquero Drive.
A Subject described by the Reporting Party had reportedly fled on foot however was quickly located by officers on Sonata Drive a few streets away.
Officers had began having all occupants exit the residence and as they proceeded to the front of the home one subject with a gun in their hand was located down in the driveway unconscious and not breathing.
Officers began rendering aid unfortunately despite life saving measures the subject was pronounced dead at the scene.
An Officer could be seen comforting a female that may have been involved. As officers searched the home multiple guns and magazines were in plain view.
Limited information is available at this time, Oxnard Police Is Investigating.
