In 1994, the city of Memphis was hit with a major ice storm that shut the city down. The Memphis Fire Department was on the streets non stop answering emergency calls for the first 48 hours.
Producer Tom Mann captured the activity from the fire alarm office (communications center) as the fire alarm operators kept the city service going.
Emergency FD videos documents the work of fire and ems first responders. Producer Tom Mann spent 10 years documenting the work of fire departments in and around the Memphis area.
