📝 What we observed:
• There is no age limit to fish.
• Check-in is mandatory.
• The $10 bucket fee includes the bucket to keep the fish in, bait (salmon eggs and nightcrawlers), a cloth to handle the fish, a bonker to knock out the fish, and a hook remover. A simple rod, line, and hook are provided.
• No fishing license is required.
• There is no catch-and-release fishing. If you catch it, you keep it.
• Must use a net to pull in your catch.
• If you don’t want to keep your paid fish, you may donate it to the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care.
• Bags and packing ice are free of charge. We tipped for the fish cleaning.
• Other services are avaiable: Filleting is $5.00 per fish (if time permits) & vacuum-seal depending on net amount – $10.00 per bag
• We caught our trout using one rod with salmon eggs and the other rod with nightcrawlers.
• The staff, Mike and Jen, were incredible with our kids! We all enjoyed watching the fish cleaning process.
• We used butter, garlic salt, and lemon to cook the fish at our campsite.
