The WFA was thrilled to assist with LACoFD's 10th Girls' Fire Camp, Heroes in Training. This 1-day camp was held a few months back, and focused on introducing the field of firefighting to youth across LA County.
Campers learned about PPE (personal protective equipment and were able to try on traditional firefighter gear - turnouts/bunker gear), how to "throw" ladders, climb ladders, CPR and First Aid, Ropes and Knots, Fire Hose Operations, and so much more.
